Today we practiced some of our bushcraft skills with fire lighting, wild cooking and hunting birds with the slingshot. The slingshot is a fantastic tool for wilderness survival The slingshot i used is my GZK mini hammer ttf with adjustable sight's. My setup is 0.62mm thick green gzk flatbands tapered at 23mm to 17mm, shooting 8mm steel extremely fast. Speed is needed when shooting such light ammo but as you can see it's very capable hunting ammo for the catapult. My kit today consists of my bushcraft knife which is a broc kepheart, my openil saw, my wetterlings hunters hatchet, spare slingshot, wasp spinner, my swiss army knife and plenty of ammo. A nice chilled out Saturday with my mate Liam paddling a section of the river bann on the hunt for wood pigeon for a bit of catch and cook. Unfortunately no luck this time but i did manage to cut a couple of nice natural slingshots.

Part 2 of our awesome day of kayaking, Hunting and fishing ( no fish were caught) we had paddled for a few mile and thought it time to cut our losses and head to the woods. We shot a pigeon and a squirrel. Liam was using his GZK crazy power TTF sling with 0.72mm green gzk cut at 23 to 17mm, i used the same cut but with 0.76mm black on my Romany Custom Raptor, as long as Ihave this slingshot I'll be able to feed myself and survive. I cut my fire wood using my small opinel saw which is a fantastic little bushcraft saw, easier carried than any silky saw. My knife is a custom mora bushcraft black which i used to make my feather sticks. My tinder was fatwood shavings. Drop me a comment like me know if you enjoyed it and give us a like. Modification of the old Barnett slingshot. I do not recommend doing this as it weakens the overall integrity of the frame but it greatly improves it in my opinion. Im shooting 8mm ammo with some 19 to 11mm tapered flatbands which are 0.6mm thick. I'm shooting 38mm chalk targets on my homemade target stands.
